News about the state of specific New Orleans neighborhoods is at a premium as family and friends try to determine if there’s anything left of their homes or property.

The AP is now trying to help, offering free access to satellite images that allow users to zoom into specific streets to check damage.

“The image’s resolution is high, at 2.4 meters per pixel. It is posted in a format that allows quick viewing of any area a user zooms in on. Users can quickly see what areas are under water and what structures are still standing,” writes the AP.

The news organization will update images as soon as they’re available.
