Bill Cosby is the latest celebrity WIPO winner as the international organization granted the fatalbert.com domain rights back to the comedian.
Cosby had complained to the U.N.’s World Intellectual Property Organization that his trademark character’s name was being used by a Tennessee man to peddle sexually explicit products.
Cosby is just the latest in a long line of celebrities who have won arbitration cases before WIPO, including Morgan Freeman, Julia Roberts, Madonna, Nicole Kidman, Pamela Anderson, Pierce Brosnan and Carmen Electra. Carmen Electra and the U.N.: Who would have thought those two nouns would wind up in the same sentence.
