ICANN has called time and stepped out of the batter’s box once again when it comes to the creation of the somewhat-controversial .xxx domain.
ICANN delayed final approval of the domain yesterday, stating it wanted to “seek changes to the contract” with the company that will oversee .xxx. Well, at least ICANN provided a detailed reason for the delay…
However, fans of the Catalan language can celebrate today as ICANN approved .cat for “for individuals, organizations and companies that promote the Catalan language and culture.” Feline fans shall be up in arms, we think they wanted that one.
