The company even noted Mac heads were living in a “false paradise”. Oh, them’s fightin’ words for the fruity faithful.
Graham Pinkney, head of threat intelligence EMEA at Symantec (awesome title!), says thanks to a proliferation of cross-scripting attacks over the past 6 months, Firefox isn’t much safer than IE.
If that weren’t enough, Symantec then goes on to skewer the sacred Mac cow: “Mac users may be operating under a false sense of security as a noteworthy number of vulnerabilities and attacks were detected against Apple Mac’s operating system, OS X.”
Now, if they somehow worked in a “Linux sucks” slam in there, they would run the table on offending IT cults. (Ed. – Don’t forget NetWare – they’re a small lot these days, but they’re still insane.)
