Microsoft to launch security service

Microsoft says today it’s readying a subscription security service that will “make it easier for network technicians at big businesses to make sure computers don’t fall prey to spyware or virus attacks.”

Ah ha, ha, ha, ha, ha! No way, they’re serious? (Ed. – Like a heart attack.) Wow.

Scott Stanzel, senior product manager in Microsoft’s security technology unit (there’s an oxymoron), said the service will be called Client Protection.

Ah, but here’s how we now it is from Microsoft: “The company has not said how much the service will cost or when it will be available in final form,” reports the AP.
