Scientists at Toshiba are working on a new technology to make cell phone vibrations more noticeable, particularly when the phone is the pocket of loose-fitting pants. Toshiba is putting a sensor in flip phones that will gauge the pressure being put on the phone. More pressure (tight clothes) will result in a lighter buzzing sensation. Less pressure means a bigger vibrartion. The only worry we have is when we carry our phone in a shirt pocket where a heavier vibration may make us feel like we’re having a coronary.
