The possibility of the Bird Flu got you a little jumpy?
Well, for gosh sake, don’t turn to the wonks at Gartner Group, who think you should have “pandemic preparedness plans” in place for your systems in case you and/or your co-workers get wiped out.
The consultancy helpfully notes: “A pandemic wouldn’t affect IT systems directly, but it would likely cause considerable economic disruption through its impact on the workforce and on business activity.”
So you’ll be dead, but your servers shall lumber on. How comforting!
