Attention net admins: BitTorrent is not your main enemy anymore. Say hello to your new foe: eDonkey.

The BBC reports now that people are getting sued over illegally swapping copyrighted material over BitTorrent, the P2Pers are moving over to eDonkey. At least until eDonkeyers start getting sued, too, we’d assume.

While it may be a bit premature to say BitTorrent isn’t a worry, it is less of one as traffic as died down due to the lawsuits.

According to CacheLogic, which is studying the P2P traffic trend, a whopping 60% of 2004 Internet traffic was made up of peer-to-peer activity, copyrighted or not.
