When you wiped those old corporate hard drives before recycling them, are you sure you got everything? Positive?

If you’re not, you may want to check out The New York Times’ latest “Basics” column, offering advice and suggestions for completing nuking everything from documents and programs to entire drives.

It’s a pretty interesting read if you haven’t brushed up in a while, offering up specific free and paid data deletion programs for your perusal, like Danik’s Boot and Nuke, WhiteCanyon’s Wipe Drive and Mireth Technology’s ShredIt, among others.
