There’s a quiet threat stalking U.K. workers – bullies.
The Register this morning reports that 2 million Brits have been bullied at work during the past six months, costing U.K. businesses 18 million working days a year as a result.
Wow, that’s such a better excuse than “my tummy hurts.” Gotta tuck that one away.
“These figures suggest that there can be few workplaces in the UK without a resident bully. But although bullying can destroy lives and have a damaging effect upon workplace morale, the overwhelming majority of employers seem unable to stop bullies in their tracks,” writes the paper.
