Poor Yahoo. It’s getting constantly steamrolled in the news by the Googlers, who can’t get a cup of coffee from the caf without hitting the front page of The Wall Street Journal.
Regardless, Yahoo made some legit news of its own yesterday by announcing it’s teaming with Tivo to make life easier for we boob-tube-addicted folks.
On the cool front, Tivoites will be able to click on a “record-to-Tivo” button on Yahoo’s TV listings to remotely program their DVR from their computer. Yahoo hopes by year-end users will be able to access Yahoo traffic and weather info, and user photos (perhaps their Flickr stuff?) on their Tivos.
