In a move that’s half iTunes and half cable movie channel on demand, CBS and NBC will offer viewers the ability to buy commercial-free repeats of several prime time shows.

CBS is teaming with Comcast and NBC with satellite operator DirecTV to offer the on-demand replays.

DirecTV subscribers will be able to watch commercial-free episodes of “Law & Order: SVU” and other shows, while Comcasters (in some markets) can choose from “CSI,” “NCIS,” “Survivor” and “The Amazing Race”.

Where’s ABC? If you recall, it has teamed with Apple to offer some shows as $1.99 video downloads to the new iPods. No word on what Fox has planned, but we bet it’ll be good.
