An apparently very bored Japanese programmer needs a hobby, as his current pursuit of posting fake news stories has been discovered and stopped.Tokyo police arrested Takahiro Yamamoto, 30, on suspicion of violating patent laws, after he posted a story on a fake Yahoo Japan news site saying China had invaded Okinawa. We suppose the only good thing about this is that Yamamoto wasn’t in China when he posted this, or we suspect no one would ever hear from him again.Officials said Yamamoto credited the fake article to Kyodo News Agency and published it on a site he had designed to look like that of Yahoo Japan Corp.’s.The only head-scratcher over this is why he was nabbed on a violation of patent laws. Maybe it was copied Yahoo News site design?
