Sad news from the world of TV game shows today. Peter Tomarken, host of the 80’s hit “Press Your Luck”, died yesterday when the plane he was piloting crashed off the coast of California. Tomarken was donating his plane and time to fly a patient from San Diego to UCLA medical center when the aircraft experienced engine trouble after take off.One of our favorite all-time game shows, “Press Your Luck” aired from 1983 to 1986 and later in re-runs on USA from 1987 through 1995. The Whammies will be silent today in memory of Tomarken.
