Cisco scammed out of $1.4 million?

The San Jose Mercury News is reporting that Martin Duane Smith has been arrested for taking $1.4 million from Cisco as a headhunter fee to search for and recruit top executives – but he never did the searches, because he was too busy with his real estate fraud, according to prosecutors. Doesn’t Cisco get all its executives through acquisitions anyway? That was probably the prosecutors’ first clue.
