A woman was booted out of the Crown Center mall in Kansas City after a jewelry store sales clerk refused to help her while she was on her cell.

The clerk told the woman she’d be happy to help the customer as soon as she was done with her cell conversation. The customer “questioned” the clerk and soon the mall fuzz was brought in, and they promptly kicked the customer out.

Our favorite part of the unbylined story is this bit, written for the benefit of those who have been living under a rock since 1987:

“Cell phones are a major convenience at times and an annoying disturbance at other times. People use them for emergencies, to keep in touch with family and friends. Some people find users rude when they are constantly on the phone, or when they are in a quiet place and being loud.”
