Just like everyone and their grandma had a blog, now everyone and their grandma have a podcast (“Back in my day”). But is anyone actually downloading them?

Forrester Research says: Not as many as you think. The number of U.S. households listening to podcasts will increase to just 12 million by 2010, the consultancy says. That means if you reverse the Complex Research Firm Projection Algorhtym, about 17 people are downloading podcasts today.

Tech savvy, young males are most likely to listen to take away audio, according to Forrester.
