India needs ‘speed recruiting’

So desperate to fill IT jobs (think late ’90s U.S.), Indians have taken to “speed recruiting” to fill all of those formerly American jobs.

One Indian recruiter rented out a 20,000-seat indoor stadium and filled it with companies seeking IT pros.

“It is like speed-dating. Earlier we had six months to hire a person. Now we have six weeks,” noted Gautam Sinha, CEO of one recruiting company.

Remember when we used to say things like that?

And along those lines, we hope you saw last Sunday’s “The Simpsons,” in which Burns’ plant was outsourced to India and Homer (who confused India with Indiana) was transferred to Bangalore.
