Remember when domain name squatters made big bucks? And then they didn’t? Well, they are again.

The hottest names are the shortest, especially “those that have anything to do with poker, real estate, hotels and ‘pod,’ [GoDaddy.com CEO Warren] Adelman says. ‘It’s all about iPod and podcasts,’ he says.”

So we figure vegascheaplandhiltonpod.com should be worth about $1.2 billion.

Even the smart can cash in on the stupid: Mortage.com went for $242,400 this month.

Once again, we are in the wrong business.
