Amazon and eBay are changing their retail strategies a tad.

Amazon has announced a new subsidiary, CustomFlix Labs, which has inked deals with television networks including NBC that would let them sell DVDs of television shows soon after they air. Yet NBC is the only network mentioned in the story, so no idea who the others are…

Sounds like Amazon is trying to steal a little iPod thunder.

And eBay has announced it’s going to open up an online store, how novel. eBay Express will “sell new items ranging from cookware and books to electronics – all with no bidding involved.”
