For geeks like us, there are a lot of cool cell phones to consider, but for the true Trek nerd (again, us) our ultimate mobile is across the pond.
In the U.K., HTC is launching the Star Trek clamshell phone, which it has smartly renamed the STRTrk to avoid lawsuits from Paramount. Click here to take a look at it.
Now, the non-Trekkians in our midst will say, “Big whoop. Doesn’t look like much.” And, true, it doesn’t. It’s your basic, slim clamshell.
So what’s the big deal? The colors! This sucker is kitted out in maroon and black – command uniform colors. If it had four pips, it’d be Picard. (Ed. note – Out of all the nerdy stuff you’ve written, this takes the cake.) If they were smart they’d offer royal blue and black (medical), and mustard and black (security and engineering) versions. (Ed. – Stop, please).
OK, all right, in other non-sci-fi mobile news, Samsung has released the slimmest mobile phone on earth perhaps in attempt to see how quickly users can break it. Click here for the picture, and look closely, you can miss the side shot if you don’t look carefully.
