The state of Montana’s network crashed and was offline nearly all day Monday “frustrating those who wanted to do such things as renew driver’s licenses and obtain fishing permits,” writes the AP.
Good, God, no! Not the fishing permits!
As of Monday night “technicians were unable to locate the problem by late afternoon, making no promises when the computers would be working again.” Sounds like our Help Desk.
But, thankfully for the fishermen and not so much for the fish, authorities said the net was back up and running Tuesday after a “hardware failure” and “several parts have been replaced.” Now, not to be a ghoul, but dammit we want to know what shorted out!
