The actor who plays every nationality with a Scottish accent* is at the heart of a privacy squabble.
It seems the Scottish National Party used an autodialer and a taped message from Sean Connery in an attempt to get more votes in the 2005 general election. The country’s Information Commissioner has now slapped the SNP with a reprimand for violating voter privacy and Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations with the automated calls.
