In a move that should surprise well, absolutely no one, international technology brat China walked out of an encryption confab last week, claiming the U.S. is trying to sneakily block adoption of its WAPI standard.
We love how the AP labels WAPI as the country’s “homegrown encryption technology.” It makes it sound like China’s in a basement growing weed.
