How’s 22 billion page impressions a month sound?

Want a Web site that will make your analytics software implode?

Model yourself after Cyworld, a South Korean social networking site that gets – brace yourself – 22 billion page impressions a month. I think I just heard our audience development dude hit the floor in the other part of the building.

“Users of Cyworld set up their own homepages – called minihompy – and link them to friends’ sites a bit like MySpace,” writes The Register. We would assume it’s like MySpace but without all the prospective felons. The minihompy is free, but Cyworld makes the majority of its won by selling “digital items” users can buy to decorate the page.

Cyworld overall makes – again, hold onto something – around $209,000 a day.

And just when our aud dev guy is coming to it’s time to reach for the smelling salts again: “92% of Korean 20-somethings have a minihompy.”

More ridiculous stats here. But, we gotta admit, we’re loving the term “minihompy.”
