Oh, you might think the Web crown would go to Brad Pitt, Chuck Norris, Mark Gibbs or some other Alpha Male. But according to new research, the former talking-car-crimefighter/SoCal lifeguard is the most e-mailed celebrity name…on Earth.

Writes The Sun: “Peter Dubens, chairman of Pipex, which commissioned the survey of 16 to 24-year-olds, said: ‘The results of our survey show David Hasselhoff has become a cultural icon.’ “

Oh, good Lord.
