The Internet is good for many things, the latest being the ability to embarrass companies into providing better service.

Last week we told you about the AOL customer who tape recorded his call when he tried to cancel his account. That’s been trumped by the Georgetown Law School student who videotaped the Comcast repairman who fell asleep in the student’s living room while there to fix his Internet service.

Brian Finkelstein set the footage to music and uploaded it to YouTube. Long story short, the repairman was fired and Finkelstein soon got a call from a regional vice president at Comcast and a team of Comcast guys who fixed his ‘Net connection.

The New York Times takes a look at phenomenon of customers fighting back.
