That’s what CEO Meg Whitman is admitting about eBay off its latest second-quarter earnings results.
Whitman blames…crappy auctions?
“”The marketplace has been overwhelmed with identical, often poorly-priced items that have diluted the magic of the eBay experience,” she said. “This has resulted in fewer return visits, higher exit rates and fewer bids per listing.”
So eBay is taking the next natural step – raising prices for its sellers and generally making them mad.
Good show.
