OK, here’s a Google service that could be super helpful: live traffic maps on your cell phone.
Google Maps for Mobile is offering the service in 30 U.S. countries cities. It allows users to choose a destination and select “show traffic.” Voila, up pops a map with roads either red (congested), yellow or orange (slowdowns) and green (no problems).
