AOL founder: Sorry about that whole merger thing

AOL co-founder Steve Case is putting his company’s merger with Time Warner into the “It was a good idea at the time” category.

“Yes, I’m sorry I did it,” Case noted on PBS’s “The Charlie Rose Show”. “I think it was a good idea. I’m disappointed and frustrated that it hasn’t developed in the way that that we all hoped at the time it could.”

Case left AOL two years ago and left the Time Warner board last fall. Since we assume he’s just been rolling around in big piles of money.
