Wireless French bunny set to conquer world

A French company hopes a white plastic bunny will be the next big thing.

Nabaztag is a 9-inch-high bunny-looking creature that can “read out e-mails and mobile phone text messages, tell children to go to bed, alert one to a stock collapse and give traffic updates by receiving Internet feeds via a wireless Wi-Fi network,” according to Scientific American.

“If I send a text message to my wife and she is busy cooking, she will hear it without having to check her mobile,” one telecom analyst noted.

Imagine you’re cooking dinner and this little robot-thing starts honking at you? And it’s from France, so you know it’ll willingly get hacked after about 3 days.

Still, it’s cooler than WebTV.
