The night before his defeat in the Democratic primary election. Sen. Joe Lieberman’s Web site was hit with a DoS attack.
The state – and feds – are looking into the timing.
Visitors to the still-offline Joe2006.com were greeted by the message: “We call on Ned Lamont to make an unqualified statement denouncing this kind of dirty campaign trick and to demand whoever is responsible to cease and desist immediately.” Lamont defeated Lieberman by 10,000 votes.
Perhaps rethinking things a bit, visitors were later greeted by a new, less-libelous message: “Watch for our re-launch – and thanks for coming by!”
