Kids’ blogs affect parents’ careers

You know how we advise you not to blog about work? Here’s another one: Don’t blog about where your parents work, especially if one is an executive.

Say, for instance, you work at a Cingular store. And you blog about your crappy job, the crappy customers and the crappy carrier. And, say, your father happens to be senior vice president and associate general counsel of AT&T, Cingular’s parent company.

The Wall Street Journal looks at how children’s blogs, comments and pictures online are putting their parents in a tough spot professionally.
