Even Segway’s got a recall

Here’s a recall you don’t hear everyday: Segway is recalling every scooter due to a glitch that can cause riders to fall off the darn thing and get hurt. USA Today reports: “The problem occurs when they push the scooter past its maximum speed, usually about 12.5 miles per hour. A safety feature designed to slow the scooter down can misfire in rare circumstances, including if the rider hits a large bump.” Well, at least they don’t run on Sony batteries. Six people have been hurt, but the problem can be fixed by a software upgrade. Via USA Today
