Nielsen Media Research – which still hasn’t tapped us as a Nielsen family – says first time there are more TVs than people in the average American home. Bravo, we say! This will surely inflame the Kill Your Television crowd. Hee. There is, for instance, people like Rick Melen of Somers, N.Y., who has three in the home he shares with his wife. Now this is why we love Mr. Melen: “That doesn’t count the bathroom set that broke down and hasn’t been replaced or the speakers installed near their hot tub, allowing them to watch a wide screen set through a window.” We would like to be livin’ like Mr. Melen. Even we don’t have one in the loo.
