Home PCs under attack 50 times per night

BBC News set up a honey pot and came to conclusion that unprotected home PCs can come under attack up to 50 times per night. On the busiest evening of activity, their PC was attacked 53 times, including one hijack attempt, 11 Blaster worm attacks, 3 Slammer attacks and more. “Over the course of the whole experiment, on average at least one attack an hour came from a dangerous computer bug with the ability to cripple an unprotected PC.” More here.
