The Googleplex is going solar. The company has announced it will launch “what is believed to be the largest solar project undertaken by a U.S. company” and hopes as much as 30% of its power needs at the 1-million-square-foot Mountain View, Calif., HQ will be met by the big yellow ball. In other news, Google also announced it hopes to acquire the sun. Via USA Today
