PBS makes YouTube boring

YouTube is so hot even PBS is hopping on board, albeit in the most boring way possible. The tote-bag-and-coffee-cup network is releasing…wait for it…promos and clips. “The PBS clips – 14 of them so far – include tune-in information, like “check your local listings,’ ” reports Broadcasting & Cable. “To increase the chances of getting noticed, PBS loads the clip with tags so that it will come up on a variety of searches – -for the NOW show, the tags were “NOW,” “PBS,” “votes,” “sale campaigns,” “democracy,” “clean elections,” “election,” “proposition 89,” “vote voting.” Seriously, we yawned three times hitting just typing Ctrl C/Ctrl V on that. PBS, you know what would increase your chances of noticed? A little Elmo, not this boring junk about clean elections. Although, if Elmo sang a song about clean elections… Via tvtattle
