U.S. TV networks are moving television shows to the Web; the founders of Skype and Kazaa are following suit. We just got a chill up our back typing “Web” and “TV” so close together. According to Reuters: “The project, code-named Venice, will bring quality TV programmes for free to consumers who have a broadband Internet connection.” Skype co-founder Janus Friis says “This is a system where people with professional content can put it out (on the Internet).
