YouTube’s success has been great for investors and time wasters everywhere, but bad for Ohio company Universal Tube & Rollform Equipment. Oh, did we mention its site is utube.com? “We’ve had to move our site five times in an effort to stay ahead of the youtube.com visitors,” said Ralph Girkins, Universal Tube’s president. The company is suing recently deep-pocketed YouTube, demanding it stop using youtube.com or pay for the cost of creating a new domain. Well, duh. Google’s probably got 1,873 employees who could whip up a new site and domain for the utubers during a lunch break. Here’s our favorite part of the story. What does Universal Tube & Rollform Equipment do, Associated Press? Universal Tube “sells used machines that make tubes.” Via My Way News
