Forrester on iTunes: What we meant was…

Opinion
Dec 18, 20061 min

A week ago today a Forrester analyst released some stats concluding that iTunes sales were “collpasing.” The media took that and beat feet like LaDainian Tomlinson, flipping out Apple investors (shares dropped 3% last week) and many an iTunes/iPod fan. Now Forrester’s distancing itself in “No, no…what we meant was…” style, noting the press shouldn’t haven focused on the bad numbers. And then it made the classic move of blaming the media for making a big deal out of numbers noting the No. 1 digital music seller was tanking. Um, duh. How long have you been dealing with reporters again, Forrester?
