So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, adieu

Not to leave a big lump of coal – or, worse, a Zune – in your stocking, but this week is my last writing Layer 8. It’s been nearly 3 years – and a lot of fun – but it’s time for me to hit the road in a move that hopefully won’t fall into the “Hello, Larry”/New Coke category. It’s just that the battery tester position at Sony looks so damn attractive, I couldn’t say no. Thanks to everyone who’s read Layer 8 – and especially those who send in Caption Contest entries every week. Even you pervs who send the naughty ones I can’t print (you’re awesome). I hope your visits here have been time well spent, it certainly has been on this end. But don’t slam the door on me yet, I’ll be here for the rest of the week. And c’mon back after the holidays when Layer 8 will return with a new author.
