Interesting item out of The Pennsylvania State University today. Seems Penn State is adamant about students, faculty, staff and just about anyone else who comes in contact with the schools networks changing their passwords. As of Feb. 1, anyone who has not changed his or her Penn State Access Account password since Aug. 1, 2006, will be prevented from logging into Penn State’s Web single sign-on service, which includes access to class materials, e-mail and library resources to name a few services. Seems like a pretty good way to encourage everyone to change their passwords. Not only that, it sounds like a good idea for some big companies to emulate.
Change your password or else
