Word on the street is that YouTube will start paying people to make videos of their friends getting drunk and falling down a flight of stairs. Well, ok YouTube may want a bit more than that type of content but who knows, those types of videos do drive lots of eyeballs. “We are getting an audience large enough where we have an opportunity to support creativity, to foster creativity through sharing revenue with our users,” YouTube co-founder Chad Hurley said, according to press reports. “So in the coming months we are going to be opening that up.” How and for what YouTube will pay for exactly remains a secret for now. Other sites such as Revver.com already pay for some content.
