FTI Consulting launches eDiscovery appliance

FTI Consulting, a business advisory firm that recently acquired Attenex, has announced the Ringtail QuickCull appliance. QuickCull lets customers cull and analyze data on-premises prior to review by outside counsel, allowing them to save on ediscovery costs. Once users have installed Ringtail QuickCull, the appliance starts indexing data and identifies duplicate files. Hidden files and other modifications to documents are also available for viewing. Documents can be searched by keywords or Boolean queries and marked documents can be exported via the XML standard. The appliance is expected to be available in the fourth quarter of this year.
