ESG survey predicts increased spending on virtualization, security and storage

Results of an Enterprise Strategy Group survey of spending plans, shows that 59% of the organizations surveyed plan to spend more on virtualization software this year than last. Second place went to security, with 55% planning to increase spending, and storage hardware came in third with 54% planning to spend more than last year. Network hardware and server hardware followed with 49% and 48% respectively, followed by information management software (38%) and infrastructure management software (36%).
