Nexsan and FalconStor Software on Monday announced a joint solution that uses FalconStor’s File-Interface Deduplication System and Nexsan’s disk-based storage. The Nexsan DeDupe SG is designed for primary storage and features AutoMAID technology, which spins down drives when they are not being used. The deduplication capability offers post-process deduplication and supports all backup software. The Nexan DeDupe SG is available now starting at $49,000.
