Parallels on Wednesday announced the availability of a new offering, Server 4 Bare Metal. Bare Metal integrates with Parallels’ other virtual automation products to allow cloud-providers to launch new services. Bare Metal is a hypervisor-based product that supports a broad range of operating systems and applications and enables a wide range of usage scenarios from development and testing to elastic cloud computing. The product leverages hypervisor technology onto the server, offering a scalable architecture that supports up to 12 vCPUs, 64GB vRAM, 2TB virtual hard disk drives and 16 virtual network adapters per virtual machine for processor-intensive applications.
