Emulex announces design win with IBM for Universal Converged Network Adapter

Emulex on Thursday announced that IBM has chosen its Universal Converged Network Adapter for use in IBM BladeCenter HS22 servers. The Emulex Virtual Fabric Adapter CFFh for IBM BladeCenter offers two physical 10Gbps Ethernet ports, which support 1G or 10Gbps, and can be configured into as many as eight virtual ports. Customers can upgrade to Fibre Channel over Ethernet or iSCSI capability. The UCNA is expected to be available from IBM in early fourth quarter.
