ISCSI vendor StoneFly rolled out on Wednesday support for Intel’s X25E-Extreme SATA Solid-State Drives. Based on testing with 10 Gigabit Ethernet, Intel’s SSDs delivered a more than 400% performance increase and 80% reduction in cooling over Serial ATA and Serial Attached SCSI performance results. Support for Intel SSDs are available for StoneFly’s Voyager, OptiSAN and ISC S-Class product lines.
